Robotics Club

Club Meetings- Tuesdays 2:30 - 4:00 pm

All students are welcome. No experience is needed.

Purpose (the WHY): There is a need for programs to inspire students to develop an early interest in robotics, programming, and technology as a result of declining participation in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math programs. A collection of resources providing research on this trend and the need that employers have to fill STEM positions. Students will learn how to program Linkbots using C++, which is a student version of the C language.

ECK: Environmentally Concerned Kids

Club Meetings- Meetings will be held TBA

The ECK Club promotes environmental awareness, environmental stewardship, waste diversion and reduction via the three waste streams (recycling, composting and landfill), a zero waste lunch and a plastic free school and community. Due to Distance learning, ECK has switched from encouraging students to reduce, reuse and recycle on the Foothill campus to encouraging students to reduce, reuse and recycle at home. ECK will specifically be focusing this year on encouraging and promoting the use of backyard compost bins in order to reduce food waste and in-home recycling bins.
